What this site collects
vaultdb.ch is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts, loads nothing from third parties — fonts and images are served from vaultdb.ch. The demonstrations on these pages run in your browser and send nothing anywhere.
Server logs
The web server writes one line per request: timestamp, path, status, browser signature, and the client address masked before it is written — to its /24 network for IPv4 and /48 for IPv6, so no line identifies a person. Cookie and authorization headers are dropped (there are none to begin with). The log rotates in place — at most seven files of ten megabytes — so retention is bounded by traffic, and it is used only to keep the service running and to count visits in aggregate. It is never combined with anything else.
If you write to sales@vaultdb.ch or security@vaultdb.ch, we keep the correspondence for as long as the conversation, and any resulting licence, requires.
The engine itself
VaultDB is software you run. It processes your data on your systems and never contacts us. We do not receive, hold, or have any way to read what you store in it.
Your rights and the law
Switzerland's Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies to us regardless of where you live; where the GDPR also applies to you, you have the rights it grants. Requests to privacy@vaultdb.ch.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist for cookies and similar storage that are not strictly necessary. This site stores nothing on your device at all — not a session, not a preference, not an identifier — so a banner would ask you to consent to something that does not happen.
